Dust to Dust (Experiment in Terror #9) by Karina Halle playlist

Summary:

The dramatic conclusion to the Experiment in Terror Series.

Perry Palomino and Dex Foray.

On their own, they’re uniquely brilliant. Together, they’re an unstoppable team.

Until now.

Because after everything the duo has encountered, they haven’t come across an evil quite like this. An evil that has been years in the making, an evil that will stop at nothing until they, and everyone they care for, are destroyed.

Dex and Perry’s love has survived a multitude of sins.

But can it survive the end?

About the series (from Goodreads) :

Experiment in Terror Series is an nine-part sci-fi/fantasy/horror series that revolves around a pair of ghost hunters. Well, aspiring ghost hunters, anyway. After filming a creepy experience in her uncle’s dilapidated lighthouse, 22-year old Perry Palomino becomes a YouTube and internet star overnight. She attracts the attention of Dex Foray, a producer and cameraman for a site that specializes in various webisodes, who convinces her to be a host for a low-budget ghost hunting series. The only problem is, neither Perry or Dex are entirely “with it” — I mean, they see ghosts, after all. And when the duo isn’t wrestling with their very notion of reality, they’re grappling with a working relationship that’s deep-cut with sexual tension. As the series moves on, leading Perry and Dex to new locales and supernatural situations, their lives become more and more intertwined, where they discover that ghosts aren’t the only things that can haunt them.

I decided to only do a playlist for Dust to dust, without a review because the review would consist of only flailin, screaming and sad tears. I loved this series from the first book, Darkhouse, it had everything to make me happy. Scary and creepy things happening, love angst, ghosts, demons, asylums, hot guys ( Dex and Maximus) and a strong main character, Perry. I am sad to see it end, I am sad because of some things that happen in Dust to dust so the ending was bittersweet yet I am happy to know there will be new stories in this world, from Ada. There were so many times Karina Halle scared me to death with her words so I have to say thank you. Thank you, for creating Dex and Perry, for making their story such a compeling one, for making me flinch and cry and for keeping me in suspense.

And now, for the playlist. On this playlist are some of my favorite songs, I think they are of the right mood for this book, the lyrics match almost perfectly to me and the music is mostly haunting yet beautiful. Enjoy and tell me what you think :)

And it's raining
And the stars are falling from the sky
And the wind
And the wind I know it's cold
I've been waiting
For the day I will surely die
And it's here
And it's here for I've been told
That I'll die before I'm old
And the wind I know it's cold...

See beyond the moment
Think beyond the day
Hear the word
My voice will not be cast away
Fatalistic fortune
Ever near the end
Love goes on
But time does not return again

Across the sky
I will come for you
If you ask me to
Demystify
Your uncommon dreams
Stranger things have come true

And the arms of the ocean are carrying me
And all this devotion was rushing out of me
In the crushes of heaven for a sinner like me
But the arms of the ocean delivered me

And it's over
And I'm going under
But I'm not giving up
I'm just giving in

I'm slipping underneath
So cold and so sweet

On the sea, on the sea and land over land.
Creeping and crawling like the sea over sand.
Still I follow heartlines on your hand.
And there’s fantasy, there’s fallacy, there’s tumbling stone.
Echoes of a city that’s long overgrown.
Your heart is the only place that I call home,
I cannot be returned.
You can…
You can…
I know you can…

Just keep following!
The heartlines on your hand!

Send your dreams
Where nobody hides
Give your tears
To the tide
No time
No time
There's no end
There is no goodbye
Disappear
With the night
No time
No time
No time
No time
No time

I had a way then losing it all on my own
I had a heart then but the queen has been overthrown
And I'm not sleeping now, the dark is too hard to beat
And I'm not keeping now the strength I need to push me

You show the lights that stop me turn to stone
You shine it when I'm alone
And so I tell myself that I'll be strong
And dreaming when they're gone

'Cause they're calling, calling, calling me home
Calling, calling, calling home

Placem a smijeh u mojoj glavi zvoni
Ne pitaj nista, suti, samo gledaj kako gorim...
Placem a smijeh u mojoj glavi zvoni
Ne pitaj nista, suti...

Now I'm afraid of open water
But I often bathe in sin
Let's be honest, you know you shouldn't bother
'Cuz with me, it's impossible to win

Dressed to kill, you look so right
I am drunk with lust tonight
Your wounds are opening wide
And they might be just...
